This site is the central repository for all of our digital content.
We established this site to serve as ‘home base’ of sorts where all
of our potentially ‘roaming’ content could be traced back to.
As we watched the Internet evolve from an innocent curiosity into a
cut-throat search-and-destroy mechanism, we felt that this minimum
baseline was needed in order to give those that legally seek to
use our content the guidelines they must adhere to - as well as -
provide us a means of personal protection from those bent on
misrepresentation and deceit.
As a general rule, we sign each of our images, graphics, videos, and
web pages with our contact information… If not site specific, all
of our embedded signatures direct the user back to this site. This
is done to ‘inform’ those who decide (through ignorance or arrogance)
that freely using our work
for their own personal gain
will not be tolerated.
Why all the fuss - really?
First, please understand that this is not an ego thing. This was just something
that came about after one over-the-top incident, whereby, having some appropriate
legal recourse would have saved the day.
We have seen our photo’s show up on more than one nationally published web site –
which seemed cool… except for the fact that these web sites assumed ownership of
our content... when it was never rightfully theirs to begin with.
Most disturbingly, we have seen seemingly innocent personal web
content taken totally out of context and used by those unscrupulous,
unethical, deceitful individuals that are more concerned with their
‘cause’ rather than the law or the good reputation of the person(s)
they were slandering.
We don’t play games. Use our content without our expressed written
permission, allow us to find out about it, and you risk discovering
just how serious we are about protecting our intellectual property.
If you would like to use any of our content, please just obtain the
proper authorization - first. See the ‘Content Licensing’ section
of this web site for more details.
